Golden Tickets
Running a raffle, tombola or silent auction? We love helping local schools build up their PTA funds. Beaconsfield Swimming gives participating schools 5 Golden Tickets each, every one worth a whole first month of weekly swimming lessons FREE (£54.49 each, over £270 of prizes), plus a free raffle tool that prints your tickets and draws your winners.
What your school gets
Everything is free. You keep every penny your raffle raises. We look after the swimming prizes and the paperwork.
Golden Tickets
Over £270 of prizes. Each one wins a child their first month of weekly lessons free: a half-hour lesson every week, after school or at weekends, at Maltman's Green or Teikyo School. No registration fee either.
Free raffle tool
Set up your event online, print ready-numbered raffle tickets, and let our system draw the winners at the time you choose. Add your own prizes too, if you like.
Ready-made pack
- Prize poster, prints up to A3
- Beaconsfield Swimming logo for your newsletter and posters
- Tickets in colour or black & white
- 25% off first month for every parent at your school
How it works
Six steps from applying to winners. The first four happen before your event; the last two happen on the day.
Apply
Pick your school from the government's list of schools and give us an email address on your school's own website address.
We confirm it's you
Give a school email address and your parents' association charity number and you're approved straight away. Otherwise we email a confirm link to your school address: one click and you're in.
Set up your raffle
Event name, date, ticket price, how many tickets and the draw time. Add other prizes now, on the day, or not at all.
Print & sell
Print your tickets in colour or black & white. Each one has its own code and QR code. Sell them at your event; the money is yours.
Parents scan to enter
Scanning the ticket is like writing your name on the stub. It takes 20 seconds, and a ticket that isn't scanned isn't in the draw.
The Draw
At your chosen time the winners are drawn, shown on screen for you to read out, and emailed their prize.

The Draw at Your Event
You decide when. Press start, or let it run by itself at the time you set.
- 1Winners on screen. Each winning ticket number and first name appears one at a time, ready to read out.
- 2Winners emailed. Golden Ticket winners get their booking link and prize code. Winners of your own prizes are told where to collect.
- 3Your winners list. Emailed to you, with a tick box for each prize as it's handed out.
- 4Nobody leaves empty-handed. Everyone else gets a "so close!" email with 25% off their first month of lessons.

Questions
What exactly does a Golden Ticket win?
A child's first month of weekly lessons free: one half-hour lesson every week for ages 3 to 14, at Maltman's Green or Teikyo School. There's no registration fee for Golden Ticket winners. The prize code lasts 6 months.
Can the winner pass it on?
Yes. If the winner has no children the right age, they can gift the ticket to a friend or family member, who books with the same code.
Who can win?
Golden Tickets are for children new to Beaconsfield Swimming, one ticket per child.
Do we have to use your raffle tool?
No, but it's the easiest way. It prints numbered tickets, draws the winners and emails them for you. You can still run a paper raffle for your other prizes alongside it.
What if a parent doesn't have a smartphone?
A helper at the prize table can enter their ticket for them on the school's phone or tablet, in the same 20 seconds.
Is our raffle legal?
Yes, as long as you follow the Gambling Commission's rules for a raffle held at a school event. Sell tickets on the day, at the event only, never in advance and never online. Set your draw time during or at the end of the event. It's your school's raffle: you sell the tickets, keep the money and choose the good cause, and we provide the tickets, the draw and the swimming prizes. Your school can spend up to £500 of its own money on prizes; donated prizes, like ours, don't count. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
